Yes, it’s primary gifting time again… Once a year we buy like we’ve never bought before, and for those in Australia this is a special time as jolly uncle Kevin has given most of us a handy $1,000 bonus (even more if you’re skilled breeders.) So spend like your economy depends on it and join me in a bit of pre gifting madness.
My suggestion? LoungeKat of course - and for the cranky activist or stormcloud in the family? You can’t go past Bucket’o'Thought. We’ve both added a swag of smaller “budget friendly” prints and trinkets for you this holiday season. As for the economic downturn - we would like to remind all of our US customers that the Australian dollar has fallen to a massive low- That means you save money and we still get to eat. Yay!
Every order shipped between now and the end of December will include a free greeting card! Awesome!

Yes it's true!
After a long and tedious wait the first signs of the Bucket'o'Thought product range has started to emerge.
Pretty soon you'll all be able to get your hands on a tasty collection of products ranging from art prints to badges.
Here's a sneak peek at some badge packs that were made over the weekend, don't let the tag-line fool you...
It was Sean and I who made over 200 badges and packaged them up as you see them now. (and yes we have small hands.)
If you haven't seen Bucket'o'Thought I suggest you do OR ELSE!
Oooh Monday how I dread you!
Monday has come around all too soon, and I find that I'm completely drained after spending the weekend trying to get some freelance finished...
Trying is probably not the best word to use here, because most of that "trying" time was spent "going through the creative process." (fellow artists/illustrators will know what I mean.)
I yelled, complained, threw sticks at the birds, drank tea, grabbed Sean around the head, decided I hated the entire world and spent some time sooking with my head in the pillows...
"I am never going to get this picture looking right- and everyone hates me!"
" What are you looking at- you think it looks stupid don't you?!"
" I'm just going to give up art and become one of those people who go to work and come home and watch tv!"
I eventually got around to doing some work at 8:00 Sunday night and worked through untill around Middnight-
So Now (with work still to do) I'm completely zonked.
The worst part is that now that it's Monday I'm chained to my "real" job for the next 5 days and only have after dinner to work on my freelance.
I think the only thing that helped me feel a little bit better was finding The artist's survival kit.
Thankyou Keri Smith, you have made my day!
For the really bad days, for the days when you want to quit, when you feel like everything you do is shit, when you feel your self-esteem plummet, when you decide that you would rather wait tables for a living, when you start to think you will never make a living making art, when you are working on something and feel like you hate it more than you've ever hated anything in your life, when someone makes an offhand remark about your work and afterwards you feel dejected, when you wish you had gone to school for accounting, when you start to believe that maybe your family was right, when you want to lie in bed for a month and eat chips.
