ooOOOooo I am going to have to try this one.. Thanks for this post! W00t!
No problem, it's not that hard- just scary!
Looking forward to more posts on this custom! Better post em! :P
For sure! ( If I don't forget to take photos! )
I'm also working on a custom Bunny Qee for a show in Brisbane which will have sculpted parts added on.

I have a glow munny. I wonder if I use a little dye maybe half the amount, if it would make him glow purple? Thanks for the info.

I think half the dye and dipping it in once may do the trick- if in doubt dip a bit that doesnt show (like the arm joint) and see how it looks- it may dull the glow effect.
thats sounds good i'll tell ya how it goes

Great post Lounge Kat....I was wondering....I'm UK based and we don't get Rit dye here...all the dyes I've looked at (liquid and powder) say to add salt....do you know if this would apply to vinyl....as far as I'm aware it's to do with fixing the dye into cloth....??
Thanks :)
Use the liquid as it gives a more even finish and wont leave grit on the toy, you don't have to use salt, thats for fabric so that the dye wont run in the wash.

How did you get the Blu Tack out afterwards? Tweezers? Just pulled it out?
It was a bit melted but I could pull it out fairly easily with my fingers, but tweezers would do the trick too. :)

What you planning on dyeing?
Nice stove.
You should see it now!

Hello -- Did you have to prime your figure in order to use dye?
Hi -- Did you have to prime your figure for the dye? How about using clear coat at the end? -- Is that neccessary?

Thanks!
No - its best to have a really clean surface so that the dye wont streak - the vinyl soaks up the dye without a primer.
I didn't use a clear coat on mine but I'm sure you could if you wanted to - just make sure the dye is dry when you do it.
