So allot of people have shown me the recent fashion spread by Fafi and Vogue (childrens edition)
and if you haven't seen it you can see some photos here.
And somehow I was supposed to find it cute or inspirational because, among other things, I draw sexy girls too...
But this is where I draw the line - The line between post pubescent and pre pubescent girls have blurred over the last decade or so and we are now faced with a huge dilemma - the over sexualisation of girls, who don't even know what it is to be sexual, and a whole industry that profits from this degradation.
So here's my reply to all who care...
Have a nice weekend.
are madly working on this exciting
Soon to be stitched! I'll keep you all posted...
Yes, we're back...and...well...we're loving it!
No offence to the lovely people we met and know in Sydney, but there's a few things a Melbourne duo can miss about home like coffee, friendly service and trams.
For those of you who don't know, Sean and I had our first exhibition in Sydney over the weekend, or to be more exact at Ruban Rat (vinyl toy store) in Newtown.
Ruban Rat is located on King street and stocks a variety of vinyl toys, blind boxes, books/magazines and t'shirts.
The stock is selected by the owner Rachel who in my eyes has great taste in these things and if you live nearby you should definitely go down and take a look at what's in stock.
Sean and I picked up a wooden "Hells Proprietor" by Glenn Barr and a "Dr Destruction" by Muttpop.
Newtown is probably the closest Sydney gets to being like home with a few good cafes and an abundance of Thai food that kept us well fed.
Opening night went well, we met some really nice people who came to appreciate our work despite the rain, (apparently rain keeps the Sydney people away) and landed a few sales too.
Sean and I worked on our first ever collaborative print specifically for the show called "Fight Like Rabbits", coming in at over a meter in length this is one hell of a print.
If you can't make it to the show you can purchase it as a Giclée print on cotton rag paper (limited edition of 10 worldwide!) over at BucketoThought.com
Huge thanks to Will and Nell for putting us up for our stay, their hospitality knows no bounds, and to Winston and Jess (their dogs) for jumping all over Sean.
Another big thank-you to Rachel at Ruban Rat for putting up with our bickering during setup and constant bitching about Sydney.

As you may know by now Sean and I were lucky enough to be in the Villain Store Cut Outs show.
For this we had to create a piece of artwork in cut out format in either, paper, wood or mixed media. As we're both digital artists (well more that than anything else in our repertoire) we had our pieces printed out and mounted into foam-core by the very helpful Matt (Stink) from Visy.
Taking a step backwards into our past inspirations we both produced pieces with an Asian flair.
Mine, a geisha and Sean's, Monkey Magic fighting a demon.
Everyone had their own unique interpretation of the cut out theme with pieces ranging from sculpted wood and metal to 2D plywood, and even a pile of dirt was brought in for GhostPatrol's contribution.
Opening night was huge, with a great turnout, lots of beer (Massive thanks to Julian for dashing out on a beer run after the sponsors drinks were all consumed.) and most of the pieces were sold.
As usual, Per Square Meter were brilliant hosts and extended way more than their fair share of hospitality.
For those of you who couldn't make it to opening night, the show is on until the 8th of June.

Our multi-page, PayPal enabled, bouncing BoT filled store came kicking and screaming into the world
on Sunday afternoon.
Since then there has been many sleepless nights and lots of crap to clean up, but that's to be expected.
Get your hands on some stuff… now!
Thought I'd post this up because they're just so damned cool!
Sean Kelly aka - Bucket'O'Thought aka - my lovely boyfriend has just produced two lovely books with Modofly.
You can buy them via modofly.net and etsy.... SO DO IT!
Exciting news - Sean and I have our first ever show together as an "item" woooooooo!
Our cute lil'show will be held at Ruban Rat in Newtown (Sydney) with prints, custom vinyl, skateboards
and a few other goodies on show.
We hope to see some familiar faces there (Being from Melbs this will be our formal introduction to Sydney.)
If you can make it- come have a drink with us!
Please pass this on to many lovely Sydney peeps ;)
